Photo merge on collapsed stacks

Dear friends,
came back from vacations with a ton of landscape photography.

In my workflow, the first thing I do is to gather into stacks multiple shots I've taken for either stitching a panorama or multiple exposures for HDR.

What I'd love to do is to select the stack and be able to launch a photo merge on it but I get an error.

I expand the stack, and then run the photo merge.

Slightly inconvenient.

Any workaround ?

Shift-click on the stack icon. That will expand the stack and select all the members.
