Hope this is the right board... Using LR5 + PS6, in LR click edit in PS, when finished in PS save (tif) however, the file does not show backup in LR even if I sync folder (the file is there, I see it) the only way that I can get in LR is to shut LR down and relaunch LR and the file is seen by LR and appears. I have tried removing all filters and it does not help. Any idea's how I can have the files appear without having to relaunch LR?

Welcome to the forum. When you click Edit in function in your LR5 LR app, does LR create and catalog an intermediate TIFF file or does it pass the original RAW file and LR adjustments to PS13 (CS6) and PS then generates the TIFF file on save? Are the ACR components in LR and PS compatible and as up to date as possible for your legacy software?
When you use the Edit In function are you in the folder panel or are you working from a collection? Collections may not get updates with derivative files from PS13 and If the derivative file is passed back to LR is should be in the same folder as the original but the Grid view of the folder in the folder panel may sort the new file in "Added Order" which would place the new file at the end of the sorted list.
