Norma, there's not a "bunch of catalog files" there. The only older catalog file is "Lightroom 5 Catalog-2-2" which actually has a .lrcat" extension which is not shown in that listing because your File Explorer settings haven't been changed to show all file extensions. 3 of the "Lightroom 5 Catalog-2-2-2.xxxxxx" files are temporary files, which Lightroom creates at the start of a session and deletes them when you close the session. The remaining two "-2-2-2" files are your current catalog and the associated Previews.lrdata sub-folder, obviously you won't want to delete those!!

The "Lightroom 5 Catalog-2-2" file is the only one that you could consider deleting. I expect that's your LR CC2015 catalog, which can be deleted if you think there's no possibility of you reverting to that version.

Good to know...thanks for the information. I noticed that when LR was closed. Can I delete older backups? I assume I can...I have some back from 2015. I assume I can.
