I'm in the process of installing CC and LR on a second PC. All I could find on Adobe's site was a trial version for download. Does anyone know whether I can use that download to install the product and then link it to my account? I logged into my Adobe account before downloading it and plan...
I own them all since Google gave them away a couple of years ago to current owners. I used Silver Efex Pro a lot back then. Once I got the entire suite, I found HDR Efex, which works really well. Now that I have CC for HDR, I only use Silver Efex Pro 2 occasionally. If I didn't have CC, I...
Thank you Cletus. That did the trick. I'm good to go and ready to print with my Epson printer.
Thanks also to Victoria and Tony. Your assistance is greatly appreciated.
Thanks for reinforcing what I already knew and what I read in the article Tony, but that does not answer the question I asked. I asked if there was a way to set my own default for the print resolution in the Print Job panel so I don't have to change it every time I go to the Print module.
What an excellent article Victoria. Thanks for sharing the link. It answered a lot of my questions about the benefits of using printer native resolution.
That leads me to another question, is there a way to set a default print resolution for the Print Job dialog of the Print module?
I've noticed that when I switch to the Print module to print a image, in the Print Job, the default print resolution is always set to 240ppi. I have been resetting this to 360ppi for all prints. Now, I print on an Epson R2400 and recently read that, for the Epsons, I should use 240ppi for...
I'm trying to do the same thing and the camera profile isn't showing in the Camera Calibration profile dropdown after copying it to the specified folder and restarting LR. I'm also running LR 5.3 64bit on Windows7.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
For what its worth, I agree with Bryan that you shouldn't use a color management profile in Lightroom and ABW in the printer driver as it seems to me that they would be competing with each other. I'd try using one or the other, but not both, and see which you like best.
I've read this thread with a great deal of interest and thought I'd toss a dime into the conversation. Because of the type of photography I do, I shoot RAW only in one of my cameras and RAW&JPEG in two of my cameras. I shoot a lot of infrared and black & white and have specific uses for each...
Well, I'll add my $.02 to this. I'm currently running 5.2 on a new Win7 64bit desktop after running 4.4 on a Vista 32bit desktop and have seen no issues related to my workflow. I haven't had to make any changes, but I am really enjoying the new tools and features 5.2 has over 4.4.
I'm also...
Well Cletus, I was able to install LR 5.2 on my netbook and I have created a catalog in it that is named specifically for it. Thank you for the advice and and information about the installation.
Now, the next step is to figure out how to get files I work on in this catalog into the catalog on...
I understand I can install LR on both my workstation and laptop under my license, but I have a question about the installations. I have LR 5.2 64bit installed on my workstation. My netbook, that I travel with, has Windows7 Starter on it and I believe it is 32bit. Are there any ramifications...
After looking at all my references I can't find anything about canceling out of a print setup with a template.
I loaded a template and decided I didn't want to use it, but I can't figure out how to delete/cancel the preview so I can start over. I've tried going to the page setup and changing...
I'm curious, I just upgraded to LR5 and when prompted, I upgraded the catalog when prompted, but all it did was to add a -2 to the end of the LR4 catalog name. Now I have an LR4 catalog and an LR4-2 catalog. LR5 is opening the LR4-2 catalog when I start it. Why this occurred baffles me.
Now...
I just received a new PC with Win7 so I can eventually upgrade to LR5, but I need to know what I need to do to install LR4 on the new PC, then get my catalog over there and sync everything up. I can move my photo files themselves won't be problem as I can use one of my external drives.
What...
I'm trying to publish new photos to my Flickr account and received a "Flickr authentication check failed" error when I pressed the publish button. This is the first time I've tried to publish to Flickr since Flickr upgraded and I've not seen this error before.
Anyone know what is causing this...
After unsuccessfully searching the database to see if I could find an answer to my question, I thought I would pose a question.
I still have my LR3 catalog and preview folder from LR3.6 on my system and currently run LR4.3. I would like to open the LR3 catalog to verify everything in it is...
I used the Update Folder location to tell Lightroom where the files were moved to right after I moved them, but only the metadata and keywords remain with the files and none of my rating info or edits exist at the new location. I have backups of my catalog from before I moved the files, can I...
Right after the first of the year, I moved my 2012 RAW files from my internal hard drive to an external hard drive using Explorer. I've discovered that my edits for all my edited files are now gone. Did I wipe out my catalog by moving the files outside of Lightroom?
If that is the case, I...
