So, Johan found the solution. For some strange reason, Apple Photos exports some jpg in the "Apple Wide Color Sharing Profile" color profile when the Export setting is "Most compatible" which Lightroom can't read (yet). Setting it to sRGB solves the problem.
What is really strange is that in...
Hi Johan, would love to do it but it's photos from a wedding with kids etc., so I can't really share them here. I can send you a private message with a link if that works here in the forum. Thanks!
That was my first thought as well. But they are on my hard disk. Out of 100 photos, in the same folder, same format, same iPhone, same export batch from Apple Photos, most are imported properly and some aren't.
The photos are stored on my Mac. When I try to import them, I get the error "Photos failed to build. (30)".
What is so strange is that it only fails with some photos.
A week ago, I encountered a strange issue: Some photos I exported from the macOS Photos app would not import into Lightroom. However, they seem to be perfect when opened in the Finder and are fine in Photos. This is across several iPhones. Out of 100 photos, 10-15 will not import on average.

Fortunately, the number of images is in a range where I can go back in history on each individual photo. Still, I was surprised that there is no "Undo" for this process.
Yes, it's a tricky little bit** this AutoSync.. but very useful. Undo unfortunately doesn't work (it's greyed out). I guess, I just have to be more careful...
Every now and then, I will accidentally make some development settings for many (synced) photos when my intent was to only edit one. Is there a way to undo a synced development change? I know, in the history of a particular photo I can go back one image at a time, but if you have like a hundred...
We have two MacBooks on which we run identical versions of the latest OS X and Lightroom CC but with one MacBook we have a strange problem:
Whenever we change keywords in Lightroom, the capture date will be set to the current day. This obviously messes up the sorting to start with.
Any idea...
In the grid view Lightroom shows the capture time above each photo. The sorting is by capture time. And still the order isn't right. I will check EXIFs but I doubt this is it.
I am at a loss with my wife's Lightroom (CC) problem: The sorting in the library model is set to sort by capture time. But it just doesn't do it! And if have absolutely no clue why things are as they are..
Can anybody help? Thanks!
Tried Smart Shooter during a photo shooting this afternoon and I must say, I am delighted. So much more stable than the old Lightroom Tethering. Not once did it crash. And it allows you to keep the photos on both the disk and your Nikon camera, something which didn't work with LR. Plus, it has...
I have one catalogue spread across 3 drives. Is is possible to search for keywords and show the resulting photos from all 3 drives? Today I need to move from drive drive to drive but I wonder if I am missing a trick? Thanks!
