Help with HDR Efex Pro 4

Hope someone can help.

I recently downloaded the entire NIK Collection and finally had chance to play with it. As of now all are working good with my LR 5.7 except the HDR Efex Pro 4. What is occurring is that after I make the changes in HDR Efex Pro 4 and hit save the version from the NIK software round trips back to the correct LR Folder and right next to the original image but without the saved changes I made in HDR Efex Pro 4. This does not occur with the other items in the NIK Collection. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank You very much.

HDR Efex creates a derivative image file. This is a new image file and is not cataloged. You may need to sync the folder in LR where the derivative image file was saved.
I do not recall if HDR Efex had any mechanism to automatically import the new image file into LR. One possible solution would be to save the new HDR Efex image to a watched folder that would allow LR to AutoImport. Another option would be to upgrade to LR6 and use the HDR process function included in LR6.

Hi Cletus. Sorry for the late reply. Been very busy with a Church photo project. I think I will follow your advice and just wait to upgrade to LR 6 as I am planning to do in a month or 2 anyway. As always I appreciate all your help. John
