Unable to delete photo's in 5.7 post Sierra download

After downloading Sierra I am unable to delete photos but get a message like "there were two files that could not be removed to trash folder"

can anyone help please. Is this a read/write issue?

Welcome to the forum.
It might just be an incompatibility with LR5.7. Adobe sent out a compatibility update for LR6.x about a week before Sierra was released. This update made LR6 compatible with Sierra. That update was from LR6.6.1. to LR6.7. Since LR5.x is a legacy app, there are no further updates after LR5.7.1. You will have one of two choices. You can roll the OS back to OS X 10.11.x or upgrade to LR6.x. I think the cost to upgrade is ~$79USD.

Hi Michael, welcome to the forum!

A long shot, but just try creating an empty folder on the photos drive, and then trash it in Finder. Then see if Delete works from LR.
