Lightroom.exe - entry point nit found

I can't open lightroom, keep getting entry point not found error. Tried sfc/scannow and it didn't find anything. Tried the control panel,programs and features, right clicking on Microsoft visual c++ ×64 & ×86 to repair it, that didnt do anything either.

I have lightroom 6 on windows7.

Welcome to the forum. Some early versions go LR6 were quite buggy. The latest release is LR6.6.1
You should update from this link for Windows Download. Once you have done that, please report back here and let us know if there are still problems.

Unless I'm wrong sfc /scannow applies only to Windows software, not to applications.

For the C++ runtime libraries, try uninstalling them and restoring them with a fresh copy just downloaded from the Microsoft website.
