New to lightroom.....having trouble saving photo.....I make adjustments, save as JPEG, then when I go to my file I can see the photo and it shows as I adjusted it, but as soon as I open it, it is the original version with no adjustments......what am I doing wrong????

Once you've made your adjustments, you need to export to a jpeg. Right click on the image and there should be an export option (if memory serves correctly)....
Shaye, welcome to the forums. Toomasp is correct, but perhaps is oversimplifying a bit.
Are you working with JPG or raw originals? What steps are you taking so far?
There really isn't a traditional 'save' function within Lr. (If perhaps, you're choosing 'Save Metadata', that could result in what you're (not)seeing.)
