V2.2 grad filter-not responding-end task

The error in the Event Manager report is:

Start Lightroom 2.2. up again and the image has the adjustments in place previous to the grad.filter insert.
The filter had 2 or 3 features (exposure, contrast, clarity) and was dragged to half way up the image. Doing the same thing again at restart and the filter applies as it should.
The first time it happened the Antivirus was activated to do a scan and that scan will not manually shut down (AVG) Machine was restarted and the systray virus scan icon was gone.

This filter lock up would happen occassionally with v2.1 and doing an optimization of the catalog seemed to clear that up.
I did that optimization/verify before installing V2.2

Is the faulting really associated with a font?

Anthony, it would be helpful if you would also provide a detailed bug report please. This was not happening previously and something must have got broken with the last minute changes.
