When I open Lightroom I get the following error message: "An error occurred when attempting to change modules" on a blank catalog screen, on all modules. In other words nothing is there! Have done several searches and find that the problem is common but there seems to be no good answer. This is terrible!

Went through so many steps I can't remember. Nothing worked. Ordered Victoria's book and created a new catalog. Thankfully I did not have a massive number of photos in LR and had everything on my hard drive with which to start over :-( Have to say the experience makes me distrust Lightroom.
