Tethered to a Nikon d3s

Hi guys new here and new to LR4, I am preparing my gear to head north to Port Douglas in Nth Queensland Australia for the total solar eclipse and i want to shoot tethered to the laptop with LR4 and a Nikon D3s or a Nikon D300 but can't get live view so that when the camera is focused on a subject i can only see it after i take the shot.

What do i have to do so i can see the subject before i take the shot so i can make adjustments to the camera before i take the shot not after.

Welcome to the forum!

Lightroom's tethering is pretty primitive. You can't see what you're doing using something like Live View.

Probably you'd be lots better off using Nikon's Control Pro 2 software for that.
