Burn to disc issue - won't write-protected images

The whole point of exporting my images to my hardrive was to burn a DVD to give to me client. How can I correct this?

Hard to understand what you mean....

Do you export to hard drive?
And then burn DVD using some other software?
Or are you using LR's "Burn to disc"?
What doesn't work?
What error message are you getting? And what program is giving that message?
Do you mean "write-protected" or "write protected"?
