Lightroom Version
Hello,
I am having an issue with Lightroom version CC 2015.6.1. When I put in my SD card the import screen loads up and recognizes my memory card but it doesn't show that there are any files to upload. Like it is a blank card. This also happened on the previous version of LR CC, just before this current upgrade to 6.1.

I know the card is not blank. The files show up in the typical Windows' explorer folder. I can copy the files to a folder and then run the folder sync within Lightroom and my photos will display without issue.

I opened a previous version of Lightroom, version 5.7.1, that is still installed on my PC and in it I am able to import from the same memory card without issue.

What I have done so far:
* Updated all the firmware on my Nikon D90 camera and taken new pictures - no result
* Updated Lightroom CC and Camera Raw CC to the latest versions - no result
* Scoured the internet for help - no result

Open to suggestions and any help.

Is it possible that the card only contains photos which have already been imported?

As Johan suggests, check if duplicates already exist.

Are you reading from an sd card in the camera or using a dedicated card reader ?

Johan and Gnits,
Thank you for your responses. To answer your questions/comments. The card does not contain duplicates. I am reading from a card reading in the PC, which always worked before.

That being said, while I was trying to solve another problem last night (still working on it) I stumbled upon the solution. When in the import screen, if you have collapsed the "Destination" menu on the right hand of the screen the files on the SD card will not show up as available to import. Once you have expanded that menu the files suddenly appear. I tested this several times last night and found it to be very strange, but at least I now know how to import my pictures.

Thanks! Now on to issue #2... :)

That's odd, I'm unable to replicate this. I can collapse all and the photos on my cards show up to import.

Ron,
I don't get it either. It just started to happen not that long ago. I find it very odd as well, but, as we all know, software can be buggy sometimes. Would be nice if someone could replicate it but I'm certain that's what is happening. If I can, I'll try to post pictures later of some screen shots.
