    Good point. The jpg file size is between 3 and 8 MB on my disk. No Cloud icon is there.

    That was my first thought as well. But they are on my hard disk. Out of 100 photos, in the same folder, same format, same iPhone, same export batch from Apple Photos, most are imported properly and some aren't.

    The photos are stored on my Mac. When I try to import them, I get the error "Photos failed to build. (30)". What is so strange is that it only fails with some photos.
