Just installed LR3 but the lumunance slider is "greyed out" and wont operate.
Anyone know why?

Welcome to Lightroom Forums Vernon!

The Luminance slider has been voluntarily deactivated by Adobe because they want the users/testers to concentrate on giving feed back about color noise.

Hmmm - this seems odd.  I usually use the Luminance noise reduction far more than the Color on my D700.  Really miss it; have not seen a lot of effectiveness in using the Color noise reduction.
