Making posts from an Iphone

I was trying to make a post from my Iphone the other day. When I put the cursor in the subject line the keypad popped up ok and I was able to type. However, I am not able to put the cursor in the main box and the keypad does not pop up. I was not even able to type in another application and copy and paste. Anyone else noticed this ?

I have the identical problem posting from the Droid. No keyboard pop up in the main box.

I jape, but the only reason I don't have an Iphone is the crappy network it runs on in the US. (Well, let me qualify, the network is crappy in the geographic regions I frequent, clearly there are happy users elsewhere in the US)
